How running makes me feel:
|
Q: I am 48 year old woman and I have always wanted to run is it safe to start now? A: We would always recommend you speak to your GP and get a few checks done before you began exercising. But it is never too late to start running as long as you do it gradually, we will start you off walking and then when you are ready teach you how to run. Q: My child is not into sports will this be good for him? A: All of us develop at different rates and some children have better coordination and agility than others at a very early stage. Most children are put off sport and fitness at school because they are not encouraged to participate. So what if they are not the best at football, cricket, netball or tennis? This does not mean that they cannot learn and develop so they can enjoy physical activity. They can still walk, run and jump and they can develop these skills. This will give them the confidence to know that they can run for fun, safely and effectively. Then they have that skill regardless of whether they choose to use it now or 10 years in the future. Q: I haven’t exercised for years and I don’t want to start running because I am worried of getting injured? A: I agree if you start running after not exercising for a long time you will get hurt! So we will help you with a training programme that will gradually get you stronger and fitter so you can start running. Then with the right technique you will be able to run injury free and enjoy it! Q:Will I get fit in six Weeks? A: It depends on your starting position. If you are
relatively active then you can make a very big change in just six weeks
of dedicated training. If you haven’t exercised regularly for years
and you are overweight then the answer is NO. But you can achieve a lot
in six weeks and you will have the tools and the knowledge to meet your
goals. Q: Do you offer diet advice? A: No we do not offer advice on diets except not to go on one! What we do is advise on, is balance. We believe that diets don’t work in the long term. You may loose a few pounds in the short term but what is required is a balance of good nutrition and regular exercise to get fit and get rid of the fat.
