Mike Antoniades
Mike is the founder and Director of The Running School.
Mike has been a coach for 26 years and has worked in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has worked with a number of professional athletes and clubs form different sports including soccer, rugby, basketball and track and field. He is a qualified UEFA A Coach, Speed Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach and Rehabilitation Specialist.
Mike runs coaching workshops and seminars in Europe and the USA, on Speed and Power Development, Rehabilitation and Long Term Development of Soccer Athletes, and is a guest lecturer at Sheffield University and St Mary’s University on Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation techniques. He has developed a number of rehabilitation programmes and protocols.
He has worked as a coach at professional and academy level in the UK and Europe and works as a coaching consultant for professional football and Rugby clubs as well as track and field athletes in the UK.
His reputation as a coach in Speed Development and rehabilitation has seen him work with professional and elite athletes from football, rugby and athletics as well as TV personalities and recreational athletes. For this purpose he has developed specific rehabilitation protocols for recovery from back problems and knee injuries or surgery.
Mike is the author of “My Travel Fitness” a book on getting fit and staying fit while you travel. He trained Kirsty Gallagher for the Channel 4 series “The Games” and designed all the training programmes for the Kirsty Gallagher Body Sculpt DVD. He is also the author the DVD on developing speed in football called “Feel the Speed”.

Michael graduated from a degree in Sport Rehabilitation at St Mary’s College in Twickenham in 2001. In 2004 Michael completed a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Nottingham University. He completed his thesis on rehabilitation of knee pain which he presented at an international conference in Lausanne in Switzerland. Michael also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.
In his early years out of University he worked in several clinics as well as working in professional sport in hockey and in Rugby League with London Skolars and Harlequins RL. During this time he also lectured full time on the degree programme at St Mary’s College.
Michael joined Sport Dimensions in 2006 where he worked both managing the Rehabilitation and Performance centre and helping to set-up the Sport Dimensions Physiotherapy Clinic at The Riverside Health and Racquets Club. More recently Michael has been involved with The Running School since its beginnings in 2008 and has helped to develop its current structure. Michael now manages The Running School Centres, Franchising and Business Development. Michael lectures in the UK and across Europe for Performance Stability Ltd on the area of injury prevention screening and movement control. Through this he has been employed with several premier league football clubs and sporting association across Europe to screen their athletes. Michael is a member of the executive committee of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) and also sits on the editorial board of Sport Ex Dynamics.

Teri qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s College Twickenham and is a member of BASRaT. Teri joined Sport Dimensions as a full time Rehabilitation and Performance Specialist in 2008. Since the launch of The Running School she has worked as a running school coach and now manages The Running School in Chiswick. Teri has also worked at various levels of football from non-league to the premiership where she is currently working with the Arsenal Academy.

Running School Coach
Dan graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation from the University of Salford in 2008. During his degree Dan researched ‘how ankle bracing alters knee joint kinematics during landings and the affect this has on non-contact knee injuries’. Dan has worked with professional rugby league club Warrington Wolves as well as the Great Britain student rugby league team. He is currently working with Harlequins Rugby League Club and is now a certified strength and conditioning coach.

Lyndsey Cannon
Running School Coach
Lyndsey qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University College in 2009, and is now a full member of BASRAT. During her degree, Lyndsey worked with the St Mary’s Rugby League team, for two seasons, helping her to complete an investigation on ‘the incidence of injury among amateur rugby league players.’ Lyndsey also completed work experience with Harlequins Rugby Union and League, and helped at the London Marathon as a massage therapist.
Emma Manaton
Running School Coach
Emma graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University in 2009, and is a full member of BASRat. During her degree Emma studied the effect of different muscle conditioning techniques on sporting performance and speed in Ice hockey players. Emma has also worked at many national events including The London Marathon and Moonwalk providing pre and post sport massage.
