Having worked with hundreds of triathletes over the years we understand the demands of the sport, the common problems that come with participating in triathlons and most importantly the sort of challenges and targets that you set yourselves.
Running is the discipline that triathletes generally neglect from a technical point of view either because they believe that they don’t need to work on it or because it is not possible to work on it. This is simply not true as we have proven with the athletes that we have worked with in recent years.
Many Triathletes find it difficult to improve their efficiency and speed after injury. This is where we can help.
There are three key things that we aim to achieve by working on your running technique:
- Improved running efficiency
- Decreased risk of injury
- Increased speed

Whether you are new to triathlon or someone who is returning from injury it is likely that you are not moving as well as you need to be. So one of the first things that we need to do is do a detailed biomechanical and movement analysis. Through this we identify your weaknesses and movement issues. We believe that if you are not moving efficiently that you will not be able to run efficiently.
Where we start, regardless of your level, is by teaching you efficient running technique and changing your movement patterns. We do this through our unique coaching methodology and and training methods. This will help you to achieve your goals.
Once we have improved your technique and movement efficiency then we can work on improving your speed. This is based on your objectives and event and of course is dependant on the time and committment that you have to training, strength and recovery. We have developed a number of different speed protocols which we have used successfully with both amateur and professional athletes.
At Triathlon Cycling and Running show 2009, I met Mike who convinced me to come down to The Running School and meet his team of specialists to help improve my running. By the end of the initial consultation, I was convinced I had come to the right place.
